Dr. Schillinger is the director of the Schillinger Chiropractic & Wellness Group and has been practicing in Marin County since 1985, helping thousands of patients with spinal problems and health conditions related to stress. The office offers a multidisciplinary approach using spinal manipulation, massage therapy, physiotherapy, nutritional counseling, exercise rehabilitation, acupuncture and life coaching. Dr. Schillinger was voted "Best Chiropractor" by the Marin Independent Journal readers poll.

Teacher and speaker
Dr. Schillinger is an avid lifetime student of philosophy and world religions and has presented more than 1000 lectures on health, parenting, business, and spiritual issues. In his workshops he is able to convert challenging problems into understandable concepts, revealing easy-to-follow, simple solutions. He skillfully blends Eastern and Western philosophy with ancient and modern wisdom practices, adding insight from the revelation of quantum physics and spirituality. He is a highly energized, outrageously funny speaker who knows how to make his audiences learn and laugh! His presentations are always engaging and often include live music.

Musician

Dr. Schillinger’s love affair with music and sound therapy started in a small apartment in New York City, when at the age of five he began playing piano. Although his playing music at all hours of day and night may have driven the neighbors crazy, for him the connection between music and relaxation was created. In music he found the presence of calm and peace.

As a teenager he studied music philosophy and harmonics and researched the way other cultures used rhythm and sound for communion with the Great Mystery. In his earliest musical compositions he incorporated these transformational elements.

In 1980 he created Soothing Sounds, a pioneering business venture that sold meditation and relaxation music to Doctors and other health-care practitioners. He began using tuning forks and healing music in his own chiropractic work to facilitate his patients health and well-being. In 1983 the esteemed master Thakar Singh initiated Mark into Shabda Yoga (yoga of inner light and sound), which along with subsequent studies in India increased his direct experience of the subtle reverberating realms.

For the past 20 years he has been leading workshops on music and sound healing, guiding participants to recognize themselves as energetic vibratory beings. His African reggae dance band, the Rhythm Doctors, always had everyone moving and shaking during their late-night gigs!
